An Orange Maroc eSIM costs 120, 220 or 320 Dh (Moroccan dirhams, MAD) as a prepaid "Marhaba" offer with unlimited internet for 7, 14 or 30 days, 20 Dh as a basic prepaid line with 20 Dh of credit, or comes with a monthly plan from 49 Dh. Switching an existing Orange SIM to eSIM while keeping your number costs 20 Dh including tax in an Orange store. Those figures come from Orange’s online shop and its eSIM page, both read on 28 October 2026.
This guide covers Orange Maroc alone: prices, buying online or in store, the ID visitors need, the QR code rules, setup on iPhone and Android, and how Orange compares with inwi and Maroc Telecom. For the three carriers side by side, see our Moroccan eSIM fees overview; for inwi in the same depth, our inwi eSIM guide.
Key takeaways
- Prepaid Orange eSIM: 120 Dh (unlimited internet, 7 days), 220 Dh (14 days), 320 Dh (30 days), or a 20 Dh card with 20 Dh of credit, all sold online with the eSIM option (boutique.orange.ma, 28 Oct 2026).
- Keeping your number: the SIM-to-eSIM swap is done in an Orange store for 20 Dh including tax. A passport is one of the three documents Orange accepts for identification, with the CIN and the residence card.
- The QR code arrives by email within minutes of an online payment, but can only be reused if the eSIM was deleted while the phone was online. Otherwise, it is back to an Orange store.

How much does an Orange Maroc eSIM cost?
Orange Maroc does not charge for the eSIM as such: you pay for the offer it comes with. Its online prepaid page opens with “Get your SIM card or eSIM with 20 DH of credit included” and lists four products. These are the cards as displayed on 28 October 2026:
| Offer | Price | What Orange lists |
|---|---|---|
| Marhaba 120 | 120 Dh | Unlimited internet, valid 7 days |
| Marhaba 220 | 220 Dh | Unlimited internet, valid 14 days |
| Marhaba unlimited data | 320 Dh | Unlimited internet, valid 30 days |
| Orange prepaid card | 20 Dh | SIM with 20 Dh of credit, valid 30 days |
The Marhaba cards list no calls or texts and no fair-use limit, and do not say whether the 20 Dh of credit is included. If you need to call, top up afterwards: Orange’s Marhaba *66 top-up starts at 100 Dh for internet, unlimited social networks and credit for national and international calls, valid 30 days. You check your balance in the Max it app, on 5554 or with #554#.
Monthly plans with eSIM: the e-shop lists Yo plans at 49, 99, 149 and 199 Dh a month and Yo Max 5G plans from 99 Dh (25 GB, 1 hour of national calls) to 649 Dh (unlimited internet and calls, 10 GB of roaming), all without commitment. Orange does not print an activation fee next to these plans. Yoxo, Orange’s online-only brand, sells 20 GB for 50 Dh up to 120 GB for 250 Dh a month, with SIM or eSIM, and states an activation fee of 100 Dh.
Online or in store, and which ID you need
Both work, says the eSIM page: “In a store near you or online, you choose.”
Online, in the e-shop
- Open Orange’s online shop and pick an offer.
- Choose eSIM rather than physical SIM.
- Enter your identification details.
- Pay. Online, Orange takes bank cards only.
- Within a few minutes, an email arrives with your QR code, subscription form, invoice and welcome letter. Orange says the line is active once that email is received; you then scan the QR code.
The shop describes its eSIM option as “activation by QR code received by email, secured by a confirmation code received by SMS”. It does not say which number that text goes to, and it does not say whether foreign bank cards are accepted. We did not place an order, so if either matters to you, a store is the safer route.
In an Orange store
You subscribe to a prepaid offer or a plan and scan the QR code printed on your voucher. Stores take cash or bank card. Addresses are on Orange’s store finder.
ID: is a passport enough?
Yes. Every Moroccan mobile line must be registered to a named person, eSIM included. Orange’s identification page lists three accepted documents: national ID card (CIN), residence card, passport, presented valid in a store. The e-shop’s order form also offers “Passport”, “Identity card” and “Residence card”. One caution: some online identity-check messages in the same shop mention only “CIN or residence card”, so a visitor with only a passport is on firmer ground in a store.
Switching your Orange SIM to eSIM and keeping your number
Orange Maroc answers this one plainly on its eSIM page: “If you want to swap to e-SIM while keeping your number, go to an Orange agency; the card change fee is set at 20 Dh TTC” (including tax). It is the only Moroccan carrier that prints this price.
The swap is not offered online: plan for a store visit.
Before you go
- Check your phone supports eSIM and is not locked to another carrier (see the compatibility section below).
- Bring the valid ID the line is registered under: CIN, residence card or passport.
- Bring 20 Dh; stores accept cash or card.
- Keep the new QR code safe. You will need it if the eSIM is ever deleted (next section).
Orange also lets you combine lines: keep a physical SIM, from Orange or another operator, and add an Orange eSIM on the same phone. For the general method on any carrier, see our guide to converting a SIM to eSIM.
The Orange QR code: reuse and changing phones
Orange’s rule is stricter than inwi’s, and it is worth knowing before you delete anything. From the eSIM page FAQ:
- You can reuse your QR code to reactivate the line “only if you deleted your profile while connected to the internet”.
- If the profile was not deleted that way, the QR code “cannot be reused”.
- Deleting the profile while online deactivates the line; scanning the original QR code reactivates it.
- If you no longer have the QR code, “you must go to an Orange store to recover your line”.
Changing phones: keep the QR code email, delete the Orange eSIM on the old phone with Wi-Fi or data on, then scan the same code on the new one. Never wipe a phone offline with the eSIM still on it.
If a transfer fails, our eSIM transfer fixes and our guide on getting a deleted eSIM back cover each case.
How to activate an Orange Maroc eSIM on iPhone
Orange shows its iPhone steps only as a video (and emails them with the QR code). The labels below come from Apple’s eSIM setup page (updated 22 October 2026, iOS 17.4 and later for the long-press option):
- Connect the iPhone to Wi-Fi.
- Open the Camera app and scan the Orange QR code. Tap the Cellular Plan Detected notification.
- Tap Continue at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Add Cellular Plan.
- If asked for a confirmation code, enter the one Orange gave you.
QR code in an email on the same iPhone? On iOS 17.4 or later, touch and hold it in Mail or the browser, then tap Add eSIM. Setting up a new iPhone? On the Set Up Cellular screen, tap Use QR code. On UK iPhones, Apple’s labels read Mobile Plan Detected and Add Mobile Plan. If the code will not scan, go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data) > Add Cellular Plan > Enter Details Manually.
Apple requires an iPhone XS, XS Max, XR or later. Our iPhone eSIM activation guide shows every screen, and why the eSIM option is missing covers a locked or unsupported phone.
How to activate an Orange Maroc eSIM on Android (Samsung, Pixel)
Samsung names Orange among the eSIM carriers for Morocco on its Galaxy eSIM carrier list. On a Samsung Galaxy, Samsung UK’s guide gives:
- Connect to Wi-Fi.
- Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager.
- Tap Add mobile plan, then Add using QR code.
- Scan the Orange QR code and confirm.
Labels vary by One UI version (newer versions say SIM manager and Add eSIM); the path through Connections stays the same. Samsung’s pages do not name the One UI version.
On a Google Pixel, Pixel Help gives Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Add SIM > Set up an eSIM, then follow the screens to scan the code. Pixel 10 models (except the Pixel 10 Pro Fold) are eSIM-only.
If installation fails
- Check the connection: the profile downloads over the internet.
- “Code no longer valid”: the profile may already have been used or deleted offline. Orange’s answer is a store visit.
- Phone bought from a US carrier: it must be unlocked first.
- Orange customer service: 121 from an Orange line, 06 63 121 121 from another phone, +212 663 121 121 from abroad, 9am to 9pm, or WhatsApp (contact page).
Our guide to installing a Morocco eSIM on iPhone and Android also covers picking the data line and roaming settings.
Which phones work with Orange Maroc eSIM?
Orange publishes its list as an image on the eSIM page, marked “non-exhaustive”. It stops at the iPhone 14, Galaxy S22 and Pixel 7:
- Apple: iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, 11 series, SE (2020), SE (2022), 12, 13 and 14 series.
- Samsung: Galaxy S20, S21, S22 series, Note 20, Note 20 Ultra 5G, Galaxy Fold, Z Fold2, Z Fold3, Z Fold 4, Z Flip, Z Flip 5G, Z Flip3, Z Flip4.
- Google: Pixel 3, 3a, 4, 4a, 5, 6, 6 Pro, 7, 7 Pro.
- Others: Huawei P40, P40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro; Honor Magic 4 Pro; Xiaomi 12T Pro; Sony Xperia 10 IV, 10 III Lite, 1 IV; Oppo Find X3 Pro, Find X5, Find X5 Pro, Reno6 Pro 5G, Reno 5 A, A55s 5G; Motorola Razr 2019, Razr 5G.
Orange’s own condition is simply “to have a compatible phone”. An iPhone 16 or Galaxy S25 missing from that image only means it has not been updated. The one firm exclusion: “the Orange eSIM is not compatible with smartwatches”.
Check your exact model in our eSIM-compatible device list, or the iPhone, Galaxy S25 and Google Pixel pages. A phone still locked to AT&T, Verizon, EE or another carrier will refuse an Orange line until it is unlocked. The free eSIM Check app on Android reads whether the phone has an eUICC chip.
Visiting Morocco: Orange eSIM or a travel eSIM?
Orange has a page for arrivals in French, English and Arabic, Marhaba (“welcome”): “Get your eSIM with unlimited internet”, from 120 Dh. Its button leads to the same 120, 220 and 320 Dh offers listed above.
What an Orange Maroc eSIM gives you: a Moroccan number for riads, drivers and deliveries, unlimited internet for 7, 14 or 30 days, Orange’s 4G+ and 5G network, and a store anywhere in the country if something goes wrong. What it asks of you: registration with your passport, payment in dirhams, and, online, a bank card and the SMS confirmation step Orange does not fully describe.
What a travel eSIM gives you: you install it at home, it works on landing and needs no paperwork, but usually without a Moroccan number and with a daily full-speed cap. Do not confuse Orange Maroc with “Orange Travel”: that is a travel eSIM sold by Orange in France, not a Moroccan line.
For travel eSIM prices, see our Morocco eSIM comparison; for Orange’s coverage against its rivals, our Moroccan network comparison; and for the airport, what to expect at Casablanca and Marrakech. Everything about the country is on our Morocco eSIM guide.

Sources, read on 28 October 2026: Orange Maroc, inwi’s eSIM page and inwi’s FAQ. Maroc Telecom’s eSIM page refused our automated reader that day, so we leave its column unfilled rather than repeat older figures; check iam.ma before buying.
In short: Orange is the clearest on the fee to keep your number and the quickest online (QR by email), inwi is more generous on reusing the QR code and includes call credit in its packs, and Orange’s 30-day unlimited offer (320 Dh) costs less than inwi’s (520 DH), which adds unlimited calls.
How we checked
On 28 October 2026 we read Orange Maroc’s eSIM page (text, FAQ and the compatible-phone image), its online prepaid page and the product data behind each price card, the Marhaba page, identification page, Yo Max plans, e-shop plan list, Yoxo.ma and contact page; inwi’s eSIM page and FAQ; and the help pages of Apple, Google and Samsung for menu labels.
Orange’s Arabic eSIM page returned an error that day, so we used the French one. Maroc Telecom’s site blocked our reader; we did not work around it. We did not place a paid order. Prices are as displayed in dirhams and may change without notice.
Next step: check your phone in our eSIM-compatible device list, then choose between an Orange offer and a travel eSIM priced per day.
