Mauritius eSIM guide: travel eSIMs, tourist SIMs and Réunion

This page gathers everything eSIM Check has published about staying connected in Mauritius: our price survey of ten options, from global travel eSIMs to the tourist packs of the three Mauritian operators, the documents and airport counters for a local SIM, and how to combine Mauritius with Réunion, which is part of the European Union. Every figure is dated, and every article links to its sources.

Key facts

  • Mauritius has three mobile operators: my.t (Mauritius Telecom, branded Orange from 2008 to 2017), Emtel and CHiLi (Mahanagar Telephone Mauritius Ltd). Airalo and Nomad name Emtel as their network; Holafly names my.t.
  • On 16 October 2026, my.t and Emtel each sold a 30-day tourist SIM or eSIM at €30 with unlimited 5G data, Rs 200 of airtime and unlimited local SMS, bookable online and sold at SSR International Airport.
  • For a fixed amount of data, travel eSIMs can cost less: Yesim sold 10 GB for 30 days at €24.00 and Nomad 20 GB for 30 days at €34.80.
  • The regulator ICTA launched its KaliteNet quality platform with nPerf on 11 May 2026 and says it will publish yearly quality reports from January 2027; we found no current independent operator comparison.
  • Réunion is one of the EU's outermost regions, so EU mobile plans roam there at home prices; Mauritius is outside the EU.
