Senegal eSIM guide: prices, networks and roaming

This page gathers everything eSIM Check has published about staying connected in Senegal: our own price survey of the travel eSIM providers, the regulator's measurements of the country's three networks, the local SIM cards of Orange, Yas and Expresso, and what home carriers charge for roaming. Every figure is dated, and every article links to its sources.

Key facts

  • Senegal has three mobile networks: Orange (Sonatel), Yas (the former Free Senegal) and Expresso; the virtual operators Promobile and Hayo share the rest of the market. On 30 June 2026, Orange held 55.17% of the country's 24,825,746 mobile lines, Yas 24.35% and Expresso 14.95%, according to the regulator ARTP.
  • In the ARTP's 2024-2025 national drive test, Orange loaded a web page in under 10 seconds in 99.12% of tries, against 91.95% for Yas and 66.55% for Expresso, and it was the only operator to meet the data thresholds.
  • Senegal is an expensive eSIM market: on 16 October 2026, the median 7-day plan with at least 1 GB a day on esimdb cost €54.49, while Holafly sold an unlimited week for €37.90 and Ubigi one with 20 GB at full speed for €39.
  • Senegal is outside EU roaming: on 16 October 2026, a week of roaming cost £40 with EE's 7-Day Pass, £42 with Three's 7-day pass and $84 at Verizon's or AT&T's $12 a day, while O2 and Vodafone UK sold only data add-ons (1 GB for £65 and £40).
  • Orange is the only operator we found selling a tourist SIM: the Sim Teeru cost 9,900 CFA francs (about €15.09) for 15 GB (5 GB of it usable only on 5G), 600 national minutes and 500 texts valid 15 days, sold at the Orange shop in the arrivals area of Blaise Diagne airport with a passport and a boarding pass or ticket.
