Albania eSIM guide: prices, networks and roaming

This page gathers everything eSIM Check has published about staying connected in Albania: our own price survey of the travel eSIM providers, the independent measurements of the country's two networks, the Balkan plans that really cover Montenegro and Kosovo, and what home carriers charge for roaming. Every figure is dated, and every article links to its sources.

Key facts

  • Albania has two mobile networks, One Albania (the former Telekom Albania, merged with ALBtelecom in 2023) and Vodafone Albania. In Opensignal's September 2026 report, Vodafone users measured faster downloads (80.2 Mbps against 48.8 Mbps), while One users had a signal more of the time (98.7% against 94.9%).
  • On 16 October 2026, the cheapest verified unlimited week from a well-known brand was Nomad at €22.31; across 84 providers listed on esimdb, the median 7-day plan with at least 1 GB a day at full speed cost €17.95.
  • Most Balkan travel eSIMs leave Kosovo out: the Balkan plans of Airalo, Nomad, Holafly and Yesim did not cover it on 16 October 2026, while Gjirafa, SimBalkan's Balkan Komplett and Ubigi's Europe Extended did.
  • Albania is outside the European Union: EU roam-like-at-home does not apply, and a week of roaming cost from £30 (EE) to £56 (Vodafone or Three at £8 a day) and $84 at Verizon or AT&T.
  • The regulator AKEP reported 4G coverage of about 97% of the territory and about 100% of the population in 2025.
