What this means in practice
On Windows devices with mobile broadband, the eSIM appears under Settings › Network & Internet › Cellular. Only the LTE/5G configurations carry the modem — the Wi-Fi-only versions of the same model cannot use an eSIM, so check the exact configuration reference rather than the family name.
Check your own device
A model list tells you which configurations can take an eSIM. It cannot tell you whether your own laptop is the LTE/5G configuration or the Wi-Fi-only one. On Windows, open Settings › Network & Internet: if a Cellular section is there, the laptop has the modem and can use an eSIM.
